Maintenance Engineer

We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Engineer with practical experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment. The candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of production machinery, equipment, and associated electrical systems. This is a shop-floor-oriented role requiring active involvement in machine maintenance, breakdown repairs, preventive maintenance, and ensuring the smooth and safe operation of manufacturing equipment. Key Responsibilities • Carry out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of production machinery and industrial equipment. • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults involving motors, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, belts, chains, couplings, and other machine components. • Perform basic electrical troubleshooting, including motors, control panels, wiring, contactors, relays, sensors, and limit switches. • Identify the root causes of machine breakdowns and implement corrective actions to minimize production downtime. • Conduct routine machine inspections, lubrication, alignment, adjustments, and replacement of worn-out parts. • Assist in the installation, assembly, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment. • Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems, where applicable. • Read and understand mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and basic electrical diagrams. • Coordinate with production teams to attend to machine breakdowns and ensure equipment availability. • Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, and preventive maintenance checklists. • Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with company safety procedures and applicable UAE workplace requirements. • Maintain maintenance tools, spare parts, and workshop equipment in good condition. • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. • Approximately 3–7 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or workshop environment. • Strong practical experience in the maintenance and repair of production machinery is essential. • Working knowledge of both mechanical and electrical maintenance. • Experience in machine breakdown troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. • Ability to work directly on the shop floor and perform practical maintenance tasks. • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to respond to urgent equipment breakdowns. • Candidates with UAE industrial or manufacturing experience will be preferred.
