Electrical Engineer

KSA Technical Recruitment Campaign 2026 Location: Saudi Arabia Function: Maintenance CCGT Power Generation / RO Desalination Job Summary ACWA Operations is seeking experienced Electrical Engineers for upcoming opportunities across RO desalination and CCGT power plants in Saudi Arabia. The role is responsible for planning, supervising, and improving electrical maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and safe plant performance in accordance with approved maintenance plans, OEM requirements, and HSE standards. Roles & Responsibilities • Plan and supervise preventive, corrective, and predictive electrical maintenance activities to ensure plant reliability and equipment availability. • Oversee maintenance and troubleshooting of motors, variable-speed drives, switchgear, transformers, generators, and electrical distribution systems. • Provide technical support for RO desalination electrical equipment or CCGT generators, excitation systems, protection systems, and electrical auxiliaries. • Coordinate electrical testing, protection relay testing, equipment inspections, and planned maintenance outages in collaboration with Operations and OEM specialists. • Investigate equipment failures, conduct root-cause analysis, review maintenance trends, and recommend reliability improvements. • Manage maintenance work orders through CMMS/SAP, maintain technical documentation, and coordinate spare parts and procurement requirements. • Supervise electrical maintenance personnel, provide technical guidance, and support team development and performance management. • Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures, HSE requirements, Integrated Management System (IMS) standards, and applicable legal and contractual obligations. Job Specifications Minimum Education • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum Experience • 8 10 years of experience in electrical maintenance within power generation and/or water desalination plants. • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role. • Relevant RO desalination or CCGT power plant maintenance experience is preferred. Required Skills • Strong technical knowledge of electrical equipment, including motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, electrical drives, and protection systems. • Experience in preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance, electrical testing, and troubleshooting. • Knowledge of protection coordination, root-cause analysis, electrical drawings, and safe electrical work practices. • Experience in maintenance planning, outage execution, and equipment reliability improvement. • Working knowledge of CMMS/SAP, maintenance documentation, and technical reporting. • Strong leadership, analytical thinking, problem-solving, planning, and English communication skills.
