Overview A premium private hospital in Dubai is seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join its specialist mental health services. The position is particularly suited to a consultant with substantial experience managing addiction, substance use disorders and a broad range of psychiatric and mental health conditions.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and ongoing management for patients requiring specialist mental health care.
Clinical Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and consultations.
Diagnose and manage a broad range of mental health disorders.
Assess and manage patients presenting with addiction and substance use disorders.
Develop individualized psychiatric treatment plans.
Provide ongoing medication management and clinical monitoring.
Assess patients requiring rehabilitation and recovery programmes.
Manage complex psychiatric presentations appropriately.
Coordinate care with psychologists, therapists, rehabilitation professionals and other specialists.
Provide risk assessments and appropriate intervention where clinically indicated.
Maintain detailed and confidential clinical records.
Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis and treatment.
Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions.
Follow UAE healthcare regulations and professional standards.
Requirements
Recognized medical degree.
Recognized specialist/consultant qualification in Psychiatry.
Significant consultant-level clinical experience.
Strong experience in addiction cases, mental health disorders, substance use disorders and rehabilitation.
DHA licence or eligibility is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work within a multidisciplinary mental health environment.
