Consultant Pediatric Infectious Disease

Davidson Management Consultants have been mandated to recruit a full time Consultant Pediatric Infectious Disease Physician for their client, a multispecialty hospital in Abu Dhabi. We are looking for physicians with recognised specialist qualifications and subspecialty training in Pediatric Infectious Diseases, with experience in investigating complex infections, evaluating prolonged fever and providing specialist care to infants, children and adolescents within a multidisciplinary hospital setting. Candidates should have expertise in neonatal infections, meningitis, bone and joint infections, tuberculosis, infections in immunocompromised children and infections caused by resistant organisms. Responsibilities will include providing inpatient and outpatient consultations, interpreting microbiology and molecular diagnostic results, selecting and monitoring antimicrobial therapy, supporting antimicrobial stewardship and advising on infection prevention and immunisation in collaboration with pediatrics, neonatology, intensive care, microbiology and pharmacy teams. Physicians holding a Tier 1 Board certification / Fellowship training would be preferred
