Consultant Oncologist

Overview A premium private hospital in Dubai is seeking an experienced Consultant Oncologist to join its specialist oncology service. The successful candidate will provide consultant-level assessment and management of patients with malignant and complex oncological conditions. The role involves close coordination with multidisciplinary teams and appropriate specialist services throughout the patient's treatment pathway. Clinical Responsibilities • Conduct specialist oncology consultations and comprehensive clinical assessments. • Assess newly diagnosed and established oncology patients. • Review clinical history, pathology, imaging and laboratory investigations. • Develop individualized treatment and management plans. • Monitor treatment response and patient progress. • Manage complications associated with cancer and its treatment within the physician's scope. • Participate in multidisciplinary oncology and tumour-board discussions where applicable. • Coordinate care with surgery, radiology, pathology and other relevant specialties. • Provide patients and families with appropriate information regarding diagnosis and treatment options. • Arrange appropriate follow-up and ongoing monitoring. • Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records. • Follow applicable UAE healthcare regulations and professional standards. Requirements • Recognized medical degree. • Recognized specialist qualification in Oncology. • Consultant-level clinical experience. • Appropriate UAE medical licensing eligibility. • Strong multidisciplinary clinical experience. • Excellent communication and patient-management skills. • Ability to work collaboratively within a hospital-based oncology service.
