Construction Purchaser

Job Description We are looking for an experienced **Construction Purchaser** to join our team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in purchasing and procurement within the **construction industry**, with a proven understanding of construction materials, suppliers, quotations, purchase orders, and project requirements. **GCC experience is required**, preferably with previous experience working in Bahrain or other GCC countries. Key Responsibilities * Manage day\-to\-day purchasing activities for construction projects. * Source and procure **construction materials, tools, equipment, and project\-related supplies**. * Obtain and evaluate quotations from local and international suppliers. * Prepare quotation comparison sheets and purchase orders. * Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions with suppliers. * Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, quantity surveyors, warehouse, and accounts teams to understand material requirements. * Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials to construction sites. * Monitor pending purchase orders and provide regular procurement status updates. * Identify reliable suppliers and develop strong vendor relationships. * Compare product specifications, quality, pricing, and availability before placing orders. * Verify delivery notes, invoices, purchase orders, and other procurement documents. * Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier databases, and procurement documentation. * Assist in resolving issues related to delayed deliveries, incorrect materials, shortages, or supplier discrepancies. * Ensure purchasing activities comply with company procedures, project budgets, and approval requirements. * Support cost\-saving initiatives through effective sourcing and supplier negotiations. Requirements * **3–5 years of experience** as a Purchaser, Procurement Officer, or similar role within the **construction industry**. * **GCC experience is mandatory.** * Experience in Bahrain, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, or Oman is preferred. * Strong knowledge of **construction materials, tools, equipment, MEP materials, and general project requirements**. * Proven experience in handling RFQs, quotations, comparison sheets, Purchase Orders, and supplier negotiations. * Good understanding of local and GCC supplier markets. * Strong communication, negotiation, coordination, and follow\-up skills. * Good knowledge of **Microsoft Excel and MS Office**. * Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple purchase requirements simultaneously. * Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness. * **Must be locally available in Bahrain.** * **Immediate joiner is preferred.** Work Location: In person
