Construction Planning & Scheduling Engineer

Job Description We are seeking an experienced **Construction Planning \& Scheduling Engineer** to join our construction team in Bahrain. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing project schedules, monitoring construction progress, identifying potential delays, and supporting project teams in achieving project milestones and completion targets. **GCC construction experience is required**, with strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, and construction project controls. Key Responsibilities * Develop, maintain, and update detailed construction project schedules in coordination with project managers and site teams. * Prepare **baseline schedules, execution programs, detailed work programs, and look\-ahead schedules**. * Monitor actual construction progress against approved project schedules. * Collect progress updates from site teams and accurately update project schedules. * Identify delays, schedule risks, critical activities, and potential impacts on project completion. * Monitor the **critical path** and ensure critical activities are closely tracked. * Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, including planned vs. actual progress. * Develop **S\-curves, progress dashboards, manpower histograms, and other project planning reports**. * Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, consultants, and other stakeholders. * Monitor subcontractor programs and ensure their schedules are aligned with the main project schedule. * Prepare recovery schedules and mitigation plans for delayed activities. * Assist in preparing **Extension of Time (EOT)** submissions and delay analysis documentation. * Review construction sequences and recommend adjustments to improve project progress. * Track project milestones, deliverables, procurement activities, and site execution requirements. * Attend progress meetings and provide accurate schedule and progress updates. * Maintain proper records of schedule revisions, progress reports, delay events, and planning documentation. * Support project management in forecasting project completion dates and identifying potential schedule slippage. * Ensure planning and scheduling activities comply with contractual requirements and approved project programs. Requirements * Bachelor's degree in **Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline**. * **3–7 years of relevant experience** in construction planning and scheduling. * **GCC construction experience is mandatory.** * Candidates with experience in **Bahrain, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, or Oman** are preferred. * Strong practical experience with **Primavera P6** is required. * Proficiency in **Microsoft Excel** and good knowledge of MS Project. * Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project scheduling, and project controls. * Experience with baseline programs, critical path analysis, progress measurement, and schedule updating. * Knowledge of **EOT, delay analysis, recovery programs, and claims support** is preferred. * Strong analytical, reporting, coordination, and communication skills. * Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict project deadlines. * Strong attention to detail and problem\-solving abilities. * **Must be locally available in Bahrain.** * **Immediate joiner is preferred.** Work Location: In person
