Commercial Manager

• Develop and execute strategic commercial plans that align with the organization's goals, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability. • Manage the overall commercial performance of fit-out and interior projects from tender stage through final account. • Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs and scope of work. • Coordinate with the design, estimation and procurement teams during tendering. • Manage variations, claims, subcontractor payments, extensions of time and additional works. • Identify cost overruns and implement corrective actions. • Report on revenue, cost, gross margin, variations, claims and cash flow. • Negotiate contracts with clients and suppliers, focusing on favorable terms that enhance profitability and strengthen relationships. • Coordinate with finance regarding collections and cash flow. • Develop commercial procedures and improve cost-control systems. • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in commercial management, estimation or quantity surveying. • Professional certifications such as Construction Management, PMP or similar credentials are advantageous. • Experience in sectors like construction, interiors & fit out or contracting firms is preferred to understand specific market dynamics.
