• Validate cash flow, work in progress (WIP), certification, collections, and commercial performance across assigned projects and entities.
• Independently challenge reported commercial figures by reconciling finance, commercial, and project records against supporting evidence.
• Review and assess IPCs, BOQs, CVRs, cash flow forecasts, and cost-to-complete positions to ensure accuracy and transparency.
• Identify uncertified earned value, certification backlogs, stale receivables, revenue leakage, and collection risks before they impact business performance.
• Review claims, variations, extensions of time (EOT), notices, and contractual correspondence for entitlement, quantum, compliance, and commercial validity.
• Monitor notice requirements and time-bar obligations to protect contractual rights and avoid loss of entitlement.
• Quantify and report commercial exposures, unapproved variations, disputed amounts, and revenue-at-risk across the portfolio.
• Work closely with Delivery Assurance teams to align project delays, delivery risks, and their commercial implications.
• Challenge commercial, finance, and project teams using evidence-based analysis and drive timely resolution of identified issues.
• Produce accurate commercial assurance reports, executive dashboards, and portfolio-level commercial insights for leadership.
• Utilize AI tools to review contracts, claims, variations, certifications, correspondence, receivables, and WIP positions to identify anomalies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Support continuous improvement of commercial governance, reporting standards, assurance processes, and commercial controls.
• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in commercial management, quantity surveying, contracts management, commercial controls, or commercial assurance within construction, infrastructure, or EPC environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with IPC certification cycles, BOQs, CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation), WIP management, claims, variations, EOTs, and collections.
• Strong understanding of contractor-side commercial operations, cash flow management, earned value principles, CPI, EAC, and revenue assurance.
• Good working knowledge of FIDIC and GCOC contract frameworks, including contractual notices, claims, disputes, and entitlement assessment.
• Proven track record of improving collections, reducing WIP exposure, recovering claims, enhancing cash flow, or resolving commercial disputes.
• Experience reviewing receivables aging, certification status, contractual exposure, and commercial risk across multiple projects.
• Gulf or wider MENA construction experience preferred.
• MRICS or equivalent professional membership is advantageous.
• Demonstrated practical use of AI tools for commercial analysis, contract review, claims assessment, cash flow monitoring, anomaly detection, or reporting automation.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Comfortable challenging senior commercial, finance, and project teams with evidence-based recommendations and findings.
