Clinical Psychologist (Arabic Speaker)

• Conduct psychiatric interviews and collect data for diagnostic purposes • Provide various psychotherapies, including individual, group and family therapies • Offer counseling for couples with marital conflicts • Use behavioral methods for the treatment of children and adults and plan the frequency, intensity and duration of therapy • Perform psychometric testing for diagnosis and evaluation of therapy • Engage in research and educational activities to improve management of emotionally disturbed patients • Keep current with developments in personality development, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental disorders • Provide advice to community organizations and participate in related psychological and welfare activities • Take after hours or weekend calls as required or in emergency situations • Perform related duties as assigned by the Head of Department • Follow international guidelines, HAAD regulations and Joint Commission International norms while treating or managing patients • Comply with all OSH and infection control policies, standards and procedures • Work in accordance with documented OSH procedures and instructions • Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures • Notify OSH hazards, incidents, near misses and assist with risk assessments and incident reports • Comply with waste management procedures and policies • Attend applicable OSH/Infection control training programs, mock drills and awareness programs • Use appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems • Valid DOH/DHA License as Clinical Psychologist to practice in the UAE • Native Arabic speaker • Comprehensive knowledge of medical ethics and confidentiality • Working knowledge of intelligence, achievement, interest, personality and other psychological tests and measuring devices • Current licensure in country of origin and HAAD license to practice in Abu Dhabi • Excellent command of oral and written English and Arabic • Strong communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with co-workers, superiors, patients and families
