Civil Foreman

Summary: The Civil Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating construction activities on-site to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. Job requirements Key Responsibilities • Site Supervision & Workforce Management • Supervise and coordinate daily site activities for civil works, including structural, finishing, and infrastructure tasks. • Assign tasks to workers, monitor performance, and ensure productivity targets are met. • Provide guidance and training to site staff to maintain quality and efficiency. • Project Execution & Monitoring • Ensure construction activities comply with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards. • Monitor work progress against schedules and report delays or issues to site engineers. • Coordinate materials, tools, and equipment required for site operations. • Safety & Compliance • Enforce safety regulations and ensure proper use of PPE and equipment on-site. • Identify and mitigate potential hazards to maintain a safe working environment. • Ensure compliance with company policies, local laws, and industry regulations. • Coordination & Reporting • Liaise with site engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to resolve technical or operational issues. • Maintain daily site records, including manpower, materials used, and progress reports. • Provide regular updates to management regarding site activities and challenges. • Quality Assurance • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and project requirements. • Address defects and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly. • Support quality control inspections and audits. Qualifications & certifications & Experience (Mandatory & Preferred) • Bachelor s degree in civil engineering (required); Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. • 6 8 years of experience as a Civil Foreman in construction projects (infrastructure, residential, or commercial). • Strong knowledge of construction processes, site supervision, and safety standards. • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
