Civil Foreman

• Study drawings and specs, method statements, work instructions, and relevant project requirements. • Ensure that works are carried out in the correct sequence and in accordance with approved drawings and site instructions. • Oversee his trade and deploy all the workmen to carry out daily operations according to direction received from Site Engineer. • Monitor the progress of works and ensure that daily and weekly targets are achieved. • Ensure that work fronts are ready and properly organized before commencement of activities. • Arrange all tools and materials from stock / stores to work front to carry out the job, well in advance. • Ensure that required materials, tools, equipment, and consumables are available at the work front before starting the work. • Check materials delivered to the work area and report shortages, damages, or unsuitable materials to the concerned Engineer. • Ensure proper handling, storage, and use of materials to minimize wastage and damage. • Identify site constraints, access issues, material shortages, or other difficulties affecting progress and report them to the Site Engineer / Project Engineer. • Coordinate with material control for the regular issue of the materials. • Assist Site Engineer / Site Supervisor/ Project Engineer in physical operations. • Ensure that defective or non-conforming work is rectified promptly as instructed. • Ensure productivity of workers. • Ensure safety and quality of work. • Ensure that workers follow all project HSE requirements and site safety procedures. • Ensure workers use the required personal protective equipment (PPE). • Ensure that workers do not commence activities without the required safety precautions, permits, or instructions where applicable. • Ensure proper housekeeping and safe access within the work areas. • Deploy workers as required and control their work. • Check all works carried out by workers / Subcontractors. • Provide clear instructions to workers regarding their assigned tasks and required work methods. • Monitor the performance of workers and report any manpower-related issues to the Site Management. • Provide daily updates to the Site Engineer regarding completed works, ongoing activities, manpower, and site requirements. • Report any subcontractor performance issues, delays, or non-compliance to the Site Engineer / Project Engineer. • Ensure waste materials are removed and disposed of in accordance with project requirements. • Relevant construction trade qualification is required • Diploma holders are preferred • Good knowledge of construction methods, site activities, materials, tools, and equipment • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English • Good knowledge of Authorities regulations
