Chief Accountant

• Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and precise reporting of financial results. • Conduct regular audits of financial records to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions as necessary. • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity. • Lead and oversee the full spectrum of Accounting and Finance operations & Reporting. • Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing. • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS and applicable regulatory requirements. • Manage statutory audits, tax filings, internal and external stakeholders reporting. • Supervise and develop teams handling Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and Fixed Assets. • Ensure strong internal controls, accounting policies, and governance frameworks are maintained. • Monitor working capital, cash flow, receivables, payables, and fixed asset management. • Partner with commercial, supply chain, and operations teams to drive financial performance and business decision-making. • Support process improvement initiatives, ERP optimization, and finance transformation projects. • Ensure timely submission of accurate and complete group financial related reports within corporate deadlines. • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus. • Professional certifications such as CA/ACCA/CMA are highly preferred to demonstrate expertise in accounting principles. • Minimum of 7-12 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a senior or managerial role within a corporate environment. • Mandatory experience in a FMCG, Food & Beverage, Dairy, Consumer Goods, or Manufacturing environment. • Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, accounting standards, and internal controls. • Proven experience managing AR, AP, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger functions. • Hands-on approach with excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills. • Hands-on experience with SAP ERP is must and exposure to Oracle FCCS will be considered an added advantage.
