RESPONSIBILITIES Careers, Employability & Industry Engagement Deliver careers services including employability programs, internships, placements, and employer engagement Build and maintain relationships with employers to secure internship and graduate opportunities Coordinate the Curtin Dubai Internship Program Organise and facilitate guest lectures, industry talks, and employer sessions Maintain employer and alumni databases Student Development & Career Support Provide career guidance, employability coaching, and job readiness support to students across all stages of their academic journey. Lead the design and delivery of career development workshops, mentoring programs, and employability initiatives. Support integration of careers and employability components into student orientation and academic activities. Events, Engagement & Community Building Lead the planning and delivery of careers-related events including career fairs, networking events, employer sessions, workshops, and alumni engagements. Oversee key events such as Curtin Careers Fair, alumni events, and industry engagement initiatives. Foster a strong sense of community by encouraging student participation in career-related activities, clubs, and volunteering opportunities. Build and maintain strong alumni relationships through ongoing engagement, communication, and events. Operations & Administration Manage administrative processes including expense approvals, vendor coordination, and submission of bills related to careers and events. Ensure smooth day-to-day coordination of Careers Hub activities and communication channels. Reporting, Surveys & Compliance Design and administer graduate, alumni, and employer surveys to track placement rates and graduate outcomes Monitor key employability metrics (placements, internships, outcomes) Prepare reports and insights to support performance tracking and continuous improvement Support regulatory reporting requirements (KHDA and MoHESR). Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with academic departments, marketing, and student services to align careers initiatives with broader institutional goals. Support outreach and recruitment activities, including engagement with schools, counsellors, and prospective students. Act as an advocate for student needs and contribute to initiatives supporting student wellbeing, inclusion, and development. Leadership & Team Support Provide guidance and oversight to junior staff, student interns, or administrative support within the Careers and Alumni Relations Hub. Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that enhance student experience, employer engagement, and institutional reputation. Additional Responsibilities Support student life and success initiatives in collaboration with relevant teams. Perform other duties as required to support the Careers and Student Experience functions. RELATIONSHIPS Internal Student Success Centre Student Services Student Life Academic Faculty Marketing and Admissions External Employers and industry partners Alumni Professional bodies and external stakeholders QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Education, or a related field. Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in career services, student services, employability, or industry engagement (higher education preferred) Demonstrated experience in career services, employability, industry engagement, or student services, ideally in higher education. Strong stakeholder management and networking capability with employers and industry partners. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities. Analytical mindset with experience in reporting, tracking outcomes, and data-driven decision-making. LOCATION AND WORK ENVIRONMENT This position is a full-time on-campus role. Flexibility for remote work based on operational requirements and approved workloads. The role includes offsite and cross campus university engagement opportunities such as conferences, meetings, and industry partnerships.
