Building Services Engineer

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced **Building Services Engineer** with a strong construction background to manage and coordinate building services and MEP works for residential, commercial, villa, and high\-rise construction projects. The ideal candidate should have hands\-on experience in **HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems**, with strong knowledge of site execution, coordination, testing, commissioning, and handover. These are also common requirements in current Bahrain building\-services/MEP construction roles. Key Responsibilities * Plan, coordinate, and supervise building services and MEP works on construction sites. * Oversee installation of **HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems**. * Review and interpret MEP drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and technical documents. * Coordinate building services with civil, structural, architectural, and finishing works. * Supervise subcontractors, technicians, and site teams. * Conduct regular site inspections and ensure proper workmanship and installation quality. * Identify and resolve technical issues, MEP clashes, and site coordination problems. * Monitor project progress, manpower, materials, and equipment. * Review material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and technical submissions. * Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging, rectification, and final handover. * Ensure works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, HSE requirements, and applicable Bahrain regulations. * Coordinate with consultants, clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and project management teams. * Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and provide updates to the Project Manager. Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in **Mechanical, Electrical, MEP, Building Services Engineering**, or a related field. * **3–5\+ years of relevant construction/MEP experience**. * Strong building construction background is required. * Experience with **villa, residential, commercial, or high\-rise projects** is highly preferred. * Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems. * Good understanding of MEP installation, testing, commissioning, and handover. * Ability to read and interpret MEP/shop drawings and technical specifications. * Experience supervising subcontractors and site teams. * Good knowledge of construction procedures, QA/QC, and HSE requirements. * **Bahrain/GCC construction experience is highly preferred; Bahrain experience is an advantage.** * Good communication, coordination, leadership, and problem\-solving skills. * Knowledge of **AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, and MS Office** is an advantage. * **Must be currently available in Bahrain.** * **Immediate joiner preferred.** Preferred Candidate Candidates with strong hands\-on **Bahrain construction experience**, particularly those who have worked on **high\-rise buildings, large villas, residential, or commercial projects**, will be given priority.
