Job description

Job title: BIM Coordinator - Luxury Hospitality Interiors Reports to: BIM Manager or Design Director Sector focus: Hospitality and interior design - including hotels, resorts, F&B venues and branded residences Location: Dubai Employment type: Full-time, permanent Experience required: Minimum five years' BIM coordination experience NON-NEGOTIABLE - Candidate must have Hotel BIM interior experience to be considered Portico Recruitment is working with an internationally recognised hospitality interior design studio to recruit a BIM Coordinator for its Dubai team. We are looking for a hands-on BIM professional with a strong background in interior design, particularly luxury hotels and hospitality projects. Experience within a specialist interior design consultancy is especially relevant. This is a coordinator-level opportunity, not a BIM Manager position. The focus is on supporting design teams, maintaining coordinated interior models and helping translate design intent into accurate technical documentation. Working closely with interior designers, technical teams and external consultants, you will support the BIM delivery of hospitality interiors, including guestrooms, suites, lobbies, restaurants, bars, spa facilities and other hotel spaces. You should understand how interior elements are designed, detailed and coordinated-not just how to operate BIM software. Key responsibilities • Develop, maintain and coordinate interior design Revit models across project stages. • Support the production of coordinated interior drawing packages, including plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections and details. • Coordinate ceilings, bespoke joinery, FF&E, finishes, lighting and other interior elements with architectural, structural and MEP information. • Identify model clashes and design coordination issues, working with the relevant teams to resolve them. • Create and maintain Revit families and content relevant to hospitality interiors. • Check model health, drawing consistency and compliance with agreed project BIM standards. • Support project teams with Revit workflows, modelling queries and practical technical guidance. • Maintain clear model revisions, information exchanges and coordination records. • Participate in coordination meetings and follow through on agreed actions. • Help maintain design intent as projects progress through technical development and documentation. These proposed duties retain the hospitality-interior coordination elements of the existing advert while putting greater emphasis on practical project support, modelling and documentation What we are looking for • Relevant experience as a BIM Coordinator or in a closely related interiors-focused BIM role. • A strong background within luxury interior design consultancies, ideally including hotel and hospitality projects. • Advanced practical Revit capability and experience coordinating interior models. • An understanding of interior construction, bespoke joinery, ceiling coordination, finishes and FF&E integration. • Experience producing or coordinating detailed interior design documentation. • Confidence working with interior designers, architects, engineers and other consultants. • Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to resolving technical issues. • A track record of sustained contribution within previous teams, with clear responsibility for project delivery. Particularly relevant experience • Luxury hotels, resorts and hospitality public areas. • Guestrooms, suites, restaurants, bars and wellness interiors. • Revit family creation for interior components and bespoke elements. • Clash detection and multidisciplinary model coordination. • Working to hotel operator requirements and project-specific design standards. Important This opportunity is best suited to candidates whose BIM experience is rooted in interior design delivery. General architectural, structural or MEP BIM experience alone will not provide the specialist interiors background required.
