Job description
Key Responsibilities
• Identify and pursue new BIM services opportunities with consultants, main contractors, developers and MEP/civil subcontractors active in the Qatar construction market.
• Build and maintain a live pipeline of qualified leads, tracking stage, value and next action; report pipeline status weekly.
• Develop and manage relationships with existing clients to identify repeat and expansion work.
• Represent the company at client meetings, site visits, tenders and industry events; explain the company's BIM services, LOD/LOI capability and delivery model in terms a client's technical and commercial stakeholders both understand.
• Gather client requirements at first contact (project type, scale, BIM requirement, timeline, budget signal) and hand a qualified, well-documented lead to the Proposal/Pre-Sales function — this role does not independently price or scope work.
• Support the Proposal team during pre-sales client discussions, clarifications and negotiations as the client-facing point of contact.
• Track tenders, RFPs and upcoming projects in the Qatar/GCC market relevant to BIM services; flag opportunities early.
• Maintain CRM/pipeline records and provide regular business development reporting to management (leads generated, meetings held, proposals triggered, win/loss).
• Coordinate with Project Operations on client expectations set during the sales process, so delivery can realistically meet what was promised.
Required Qualifications & Experience Must Have
• 3–5 years of business development, sales or client-facing experience within BIM, AEC (architecture/engineering/construction), or a related construction-consultancy environment, in Qatar.
• Working understanding of BIM concepts, terminology and value proposition (LOD/LOI, clash detection, model coordination, Scan-to-BIM, 4D/5D, CDE) — enough to credibly represent the service, not to author models.
• Existing or demonstrable ability to build relationships with consultants, contractors and developers in the Qatar market.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Architectural/MEP Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a Business/Marketing degree combined with direct AEC industry exposure.
• Strong verbal and written English communication and negotiation skills.
• Currently based in and authorized to work in Qatar, available to join on short notice.
Should Have
• Familiarity with the Qatar construction tendering process and project lifecycle (consultant/contractor/developer roles, typical procurement routes).
• Awareness of the BIM software landscape (Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360/ACC) sufficient to discuss client needs, even without hands-on technical use.
• A valid Qatar driving licence.
Nice to Have
• An existing book of contacts among Qatar consultants/contractors/developers.
• CRM tool experience (e.g. HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce).
• Arabic language skills.
• Exposure to other GCC markets (UAE, Saudi Arabia).
Candidate Profile — Qatar Specifics
Location: Must be currently residing in Qatar at the time of application — this is a local, in-market hire, not a relocation search.
Visa/QID status: Candidate must hold a valid visa.
Driving: A valid Qatar driving license is expected, given the client-visit/site-meeting nature of the role.
