Barista

Job Purpose To prepare and serve high-quality coffee, beverages, and light refreshments while providing excellent customer service and maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, cappuccino, latte, tea, and other hot and cold beverages. • Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other beverage equipment. • Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, portion, and quality. • Take customer orders accurately and provide friendly and efficient service. • Handle cash/POS transactions when required. • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the counter, equipment, utensils, and work area. • Monitor stock levels of coffee, milk, syrups, cups, and other supplies and report shortages. • Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times. • Assist with preparation and serving of pastries, sandwiches, and other light food items when required. • Maintain proper storage and handling of ingredients. • Handle customer requests and complaints professionally. • High school education or equivalent preferred. • Previous experience as a Barista in a café, restaurant, hotel, or catering operation. • Good knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage service. • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards. • Good communication and customer service skills. • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
