Automotive Electrician

• Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic faults in vehicles, including wiring, lighting, and control systems. • Install, inspect, and maintain electrical components, such as batteries, alternators, starters, and ignition systems. • Perform system upgrades and install additional accessories, such as GPS systems, alarms, and multimedia systems. • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve electrical issues efficiently. • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals. • Collaborate with mechanics and other technicians to ensure seamless vehicle repair and maintenance. • Test electrical systems after repair to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards. • Keep records of all services performed and components used for future reference. • Stay updated with advancements in automotive electrical systems and technologies. • Minimum education: ITI certificate, vocational certificate or technical diploma in Automotive Electrical and Electronics, Auto Electrical Technology or a related technical discipline. • 3-5 years of relevant GCC experience as an Automotive Electrician. • Ability to read wiring diagrams and use multimeters, diagnostic scanners and electrical test equipment to diagnose wiring, starting, charging and control system faults. Certifications and licences • Required: relevant automotive electrical trade or vocational qualification; the education certificate may satisfy this requirement. • Preferred: manufacturer or accredited training in electronic diagnostics, vehicle networks, wiring repair and diagnostic scan tools. • EV high-voltage work requires separate task-specific training, competency assessment and company authorisation before assignment.
