Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine

Job Purpose This is an opportunity to join the College of Medicine at the University of Sharjah in a role that integrates both academic and clinical responsibilities. The College seeks a qualified and experienced professional who can contribute effectively as a faculty member and as a consultant in Internal Medicine, with a subspecialty focus on Respiratory Medicine. Main accountabilities & expectations As a faculty member in the College of Medicine, University of Sharjah, you will be expected to: Participate in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students according to the assigned schedule, with a primary focus on Respiratory Medicine and related pulmonary sciences through lectures, tutorials, workshops, and problem-based learning (PBL). Contribute to OSCE/DOCEE and other examinations, including question preparation, invigilation, supervision, marking, and grading. Participate in the clinical training of students during specialty clerkships. Contribute to assessment activities, including examination preparation, conduct, correction, and invigilation. Conduct scientific research and contribute to scholarly activities. Participate in community service activities organized by the department, college, or university. Provide clinical service, subject to obtaining the necessary professional license and in accordance with university regulations.​ ​ Required Skills ​​American Board certification, or an equivalent recognized specialty qualification, in Internal Medicine. A recognized postgraduate clinical qualification in Respiratory Medicine. Desirable Requirements ​​​​​​​​Candidates should have at least five years of combined teaching and clinical experience as academic faculty and as a consultant in Internal Medicine, preferably with expertise in Respiratory Medicine. They should also demonstrate competence in distance and blended learning, including the effective use of Blackboard and Microsoft Teams for online teaching ​
