AMI Technician - Smart Metering

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) devices and systems at customer premises, ensuring accurate metering, reliable communication, and compliance with relevant standards. The technician supports operational objectives by delivering high-quality technical services and collaborating with supervisors for efficient workflow and logistics. • Install, configure, and maintain AMI meters and communication devices. • Conduct site surveys and verify installation requirements. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AMI devices and network connectivity. • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and firmware upgrades. • Document work orders, installation activities, and system updates using FSM and ITSM (Remedy) systems. • Liaise with customers and internal teams to ensure service quality and resolve issues. • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment. • Coordinate with supervisors for logistics, work order planning, area distribution, and performance reporting. • Responsible for assigned zone coverage as directed by supervisor. • Handles multiple work orders daily across commercial and residential sites. • Reports operational status and performance metrics to supervisor using FSM and ITSM systems. • Supports logistics and internal communication processes.
