Accountant

• VAT Management & Compliance: • Handle end-to-end VAT registration/deregistration procedures with the Federal Tax Authority (FTA). • Prepare, review, and submit accurate quarterly/monthly VAT returns in full compliance with local tax regulations. • Reconcile input and output VAT ledgers regularly to ensure precise reporting. • Maintain audit-ready VAT documentation and serve as the main point of contact for tax audits or queries. • Bookkeeping & Data Entry: • Accurately record daily financial transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries into accounting software. • Review, verify, and input invoices, receipts, and bank statements in a timely manner. • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and account balance verifications. • Financial Reporting & Operations: • Assist in generating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet). • Ensure proper document archiving and audit trails for all financial records. • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. • Experience: 3–5+ years of hands-on accounting experience, with demonstrated expertise in local VAT filing and registration procedures. • Software Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Tally, Xero, or SAP) and advanced MS Excel skills. • Knowledge: Deep understanding of tax regulations, VAT laws, and general accounting principles (IFRS). • Key Traits: High attention to detail, strong numerical accuracy, good time-management skills, and ability to meet strict tax deadlines.
