AC Technician

The AC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various HVAC systems, including split, window, cassette, and packaged units. This role involves utilizing specialized tools to diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant faults, executing necessary part replacements, and ensuring optimal system performance through routine servicing. The technician must strictly adhere to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards while maintaining accurate digital service records and providing clear, professional communication to customers. Key Responsibilities • Set up new split, window, cassette, or packaged AC units, ensuring proper electrical and mechanical connections. • Inspect systems using tools like multimeters and pressure gauges to find electrical, mechanical, or refrigerant faults. • Fix leaks, replace defective parts (like compressors, capacitors, or fan motors), and handle vacuuming and gas recharging. • Clean air filters, wash coils, clear drain lines, and run performance tests. • Follow health, safety, and environmental (HSE) codes, including safe refrigerant handling. • Log parts used, service notes, and customer sign-offs in digital tools or work orders. • 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in HVAC repair, maintenance, and installation. • Strong understanding of electrical circuits, refrigeration principles, and reading technical schematics. • Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or hot environments. • Relevant trade certifications or local HVAC licenses. • Good communication and customer service skills to explain issues clearly
