AC Technician

Role & responsibilities Key Responsibilities • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and equipment. • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on air conditioning units. • Troubleshoot faults in AC units, chillers, AHUs, FCUs, and ventilation systems. • Check refrigerant levels, compressors, motors, thermostats, and electrical components. • Clean air filters, cooling coils, ducts, and drainage lines. • Monitor HVAC system performance and ensure energy-efficient operation. • Identify mechanical and electrical faults and carry out necessary repairs. • Maintain daily maintenance records and service reports. • Follow safety procedures while handling electrical equipment and refrigerants. • Coordinate with supervisors and other maintenance team members. • Respond to breakdowns and complete repair work within the required time. • Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and company procedures. Preferred candidate profile Required Skills • Good knowledge of HVAC systems and refrigeration principles. • Experience in AC installation, servicing, and maintenance. • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults. • Knowledge of split ACs, package units, chillers, AHUs, and FCUs, as applicable. • Ability to use HVAC tools and testing instruments. • Understanding of preventive maintenance procedures. • Good communication and teamwork skills. • Willingness to work in shifts, if required.
