Job description

• Ensure compliance with Aramco's stringent welding procedures and specifications, verifying all welding activities meet or exceed project requirements. • Conduct thorough visual inspections of welds, identifying discontinuities and defects such as cracks, porosity, and undercut, and documenting findings accurately. • Interpret complex engineering drawings, welding symbols, and specifications to confirm correct joint preparation, electrode selection, and welding parameters. • Witness and monitor welding operations, ensuring adherence to approved welding procedures (WPS) and welder qualifications (PQR). • Possesses a CSWIP 1 certification, demonstrating a recognized level of competence in welding inspection. • Holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related technical field. • Has a minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in welding inspection within the oil and gas or petrochemical industry. • Demonstrates proven experience with Aramco's specific standards, codes (e.g., API, ASME), and CBT approval requirements.
