Welding and Piping Inspector

• Ensure the compliance of Welding and Piping works. • Ontime inspections and reporting of Welding and Piping works. • Ensure compliance of Project Quality Plan and specified requirements during execution. • Support the site construction team for quality requirements. Principal Duties and Responsibilities • Review construction welding and piping works documents to ensure that quality requirements have been correctly captured and approved for execution. • Review and control of method statements for mechanical works. • Guide / Support site construction team on quality technical clarifications for mechanical works. • Review of contractor quality deliverables before starting any work (ITP & Quality Procedures). • Perform and report stage and final inspections for welding, metallic and nonmetallic piping inspections. • Coordinate closely with clients for client witness inspections for construction works. • Raise Nonconformance report in system and issuing to the relevant stakeholders for disposal actions. • Coordinating with site contractor for NCR disposal. • Perform special welding process inspections (cladding, overlay, Inlay and dissimilar welding, etc). • Perform ITR inspections system wise and update the system. • Perform mechanical walkdown and record punches in system. • Perform Welder qualification witness and approval. • Perform NDE inspections. • Perform hydrotest and Line walks. • Perform piping painting inspections. Activities: Validation / Approval • Ensure collection, checking and management of contractor documents certifying tests, controls and inspections carried out witnessing the tests, controls and inspections carried out. • Verify special processes and the relevant workers’ qualifications. • Check the documents certifying the tests, controls and inspections carried out. Quality Assurance / Auditing • Responsible for the independent surveillance and audit of the project for compliance with the procedures and specific QA/QC. requirements, as well as the documentation of compliance and corrective actions • Check the conformity with the Quality Control Plan and obtain the relevant documentation • Monitor Project and Internal Non-Conformances and ensure appropriate documentation on Aconex / QUEST / InTouch • Plan and Execute Project Quality audits (Internal and with Supplier / Contractor) • Provide inputs to OPF Quality Management Reviews through NCR/SQ / Lessons Learnt / Project Quality Audits results etc. Processes: Project Execution Phase: • PQP / ITP / FAT / Data books • SQ Failure RCA (Project NCR) • Project Audits (process reviews) • Project PLG, Progress Reporting, PF-W-01-05-001 Proposal and Project Quality Processes Process / Procedures: • PF-P-01-05-006 Non-conforming Product Control and CAPA • PF-F-01-05-010A PF Standard MRB Table of Contents • PF-F-01-05-006 Inspection Test Plan Template • PF-F-01-05-011 OPF NCR Template • PF-F-01-05-013 PIM Template • PF-F-01-08-003 Minutes of Meeting Template Key Indicators • Project KPIs • Quality KPI’s: Quality, Cost, Schedule, NCR’s closure rate Technical qualification (Bachelor of Science / Diploma or bachelor’s in engineering (B.E) Mechanical) Experience • 10+ years in Quality Inspection activities in Engineering industry /EPCC and/ or Oil & Gas Industry related QA/QC supervisory position. • Working knowledge in welding, special process welding, Nonmetallic piping, pipeline project inspections and Painting & Coating inspections. • ASNT SNTC Level II Certification (MT, PT, UT, RT and VT) • Kuwait based / Transferable Visa Preferable: • Previous experience in Site construction works. • Experience oil and gas Projects. • Technical qualification (Bachelor of Science / Diploma or bachelor’s in engineering (B.E) Mechanical) • Interpretation of ASME Sec VIII, Sec IX, Sec V, AWS D1.1 • Hands on knowledge of Root Cause Analysis Tools • CSWIP 3.1 or AWS Equivalent • BGAS or Equivalent certification. • ISO 9001 Auditing Experience.
