Waterproofing Foreman

• Supervise and coordinate daily waterproofing activities at construction sites, ensuring work is completed according to approved drawings and specifications. • Manage and guide waterproofing technicians, applicators, and helpers to ensure efficient execution of site activities. • Oversee the installation of various waterproofing systems, including bituminous membranes, liquid-applied membranes, cementitious coatings, polyurethane (PU), and epoxy-based systems. • Ensure proper surface preparation, cleaning, priming, and substrate treatment before waterproofing application. • Supervise waterproofing works for basements, foundations, roofs, bathrooms, balconies, water tanks, retaining walls, and other structural areas. • Monitor waterproofing membrane installation, including torch-applied membranes, self-adhesive membranes, and protective layers. • Conduct regular inspections to identify defects, leakage points, improper application, and workmanship issues. • Coordinate with Site Engineers, QA/QC Engineers, and other construction teams to ensure waterproofing works meet project quality requirements. • Ensure waterproofing materials are stored, handled, mixed, and applied according to manufacturer recommendations. • Supervise waterproofing testing procedures, including flood testing, water ponding tests, and leakage inspections. • Monitor daily manpower allocation, productivity, material consumption, and work progress. • Ensure compliance with approved method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and project safety requirements. • Coordinate with civil, MEP, and finishing teams to avoid damage to completed waterproofing installations. • Identify site issues and report technical problems, material shortages, and work delays to the Site Engineer. • Maintain daily work records, manpower reports, material usage records, and site progress updates. • Ensure proper application of waterproofing at construction joints, expansion joints, pipe penetrations, corners, and critical structural connections. • Monitor installation of protection boards, drainage boards, waterstops, and sealants where required. • Ensure all waterproofing activities comply with UAE construction standards, project specifications, and health and safety regulations. • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in waterproofing works within the construction industry. • Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Waterproofing Foreman or Supervisor. • Previous experience in UAE construction projects is preferred. • Strong knowledge of bituminous, cementitious, polyurethane, and liquid-applied waterproofing systems. • Experience in basement, roof, foundation, wet-area, and water tank waterproofing. • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, technical specifications, and method statements. • Knowledge of waterproofing testing procedures and quality control requirements. • Strong leadership, manpower management, and site coordination skills. • Familiarity with construction safety procedures and PPE requirements. • Ability to communicate effectively with Site Engineers, supervisors, and workers.
