VNA/Aisle Master Operator

• Safely operate Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) or Aisle Master forklifts to efficiently pick, put away, and retrieve palletized goods in high-density storage environments. • Conduct pre-operation checks on VNA/Aisle Master equipment, including battery levels, hydraulic systems, and safety features, reporting any defects immediately. • Accurately pick orders based on pick lists or electronic data, ensuring correct product identification, quantity, and placement onto the forklift for transit. • Maneuver VNA/Aisle Master trucks with precision in confined spaces, navigating narrow aisles and reaching elevated rack levels without damaging inventory or infrastructure. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the VNA/Aisle Master machine and surrounding aisles, to promote safety and operational efficiency. • Perform timely put-away of received goods into designated warehouse locations, verifying stock against system records and ensuring proper slotting. • Adhere strictly to all warehouse safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques, load stability, and pedestrian awareness, to prevent accidents. • Utilize warehouse management system (WMS) or RF scanner technology to record inventory movements, update locations, and confirm task completion accurately. • Collaborate effectively with warehouse team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment. • Identify and report any discrepancies in inventory levels or damage to goods, contributing to accurate stocktaking and loss prevention efforts. • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, demonstrating a foundational level of education. • Proven experience operating VNA or Aisle Master forklifts in a warehouse setting, ideally 2+ years. • Possession of a valid forklift operator certification or the ability to obtain one. • Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and best practices for material handling. • Proficiency in using RF scanners and basic understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate picking, put-away, and inventory recording. • Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift as needed, with the ability to work at heights.
