Job description

**WHAT YOU WILL DO** * Write and structure end\-to\-end interface copy for government digital services across web and mobile, in Arabic and English. * Translate research, service blueprints, and stakeholder requirements into content models, flows, and production\-ready UI copy. * Build and maintain content patterns in the Dubai Design System (labels, error states, empty states, confirmations, notifications) and contribute new patterns back to it rather than writing one\-offs. * Partner with designers in Figma to write in context, checking copy against real layouts, character limits, and component states rather than in a document. * Work directly with UI/UX designers and front\-end engineers through hand\-off, implementation, and QA review of the built product. * Write to WCAG 2\.2 AA from the start, covering plain\-language clarity, alt text, error messaging, and screen reader announcements. * Present and defend content decisions to stakeholders across government entities, including legal, policy, and service owners. **WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR** **UX writing and content strategy (essential)** * Arabic and English bilingual writing experience, including RTL content and Arabic UI conventions. * Expert\-level: microcopy, content models, voice and tone systems, and writing for state, error, and edge cases. * Comfortable writing for and maintaining a shared content library rather than only writing one\-off strings. * Clean, well\-structured content documentation and copy decks that another writer or designer can pick up without a walkthrough. * Arabic and English bilingual writing experience, including RTL content and Arabic UI conventions. **Figma and design fluency (essential)** * Solid working knowledge of Figma: auto layout, component properties, variants, and how content sits inside constraints. * Understands component\-based design thinking (states, composition, character limits) and can read a component to see why copy needs to change. * Knows the cost of a content decision before proposing it, and can talk to designers and engineers in their terms. **Writing craft** * A portfolio showing clarity, structure, and restraint, not just polished sentences. * Can explain why a piece of copy works, not only that it reads well. * Attention to word\-level craft, with judgement about when that level of detail matters. **Ways of working** * Handles ambiguity and shifting requirements without stalling. * Communicates clearly in writing and in presentations. * Takes feedback from stakeholders who are not writers and turns it into the underlying problem. **Nice to have** * Public sector or large\-scale enterprise product experience. * Accessibility work beyond compliance checklists, such as writing for assistive technology testing. * Familiarity with content tooling, terminology databases, or version\-controlled hand\-off workflows. **Skills:** UX writing , Figma , Accessibility
