The Timekeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate records of labor attendance, man-hours, overtime, and related workforce data at the construction site. The role ensures timely and precise entry of attendance records, supports payroll processing, and assists in workforce planning and compliance reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Record daily attendance of workers, staff, and subcontractor personnel at the site.
• Monitor check-in/check-out times and total man-hours.
• Maintain accurate manpower registers and daily labor deployment reports.
• Coordinate with HR and Admin for timely submission of attendance for payroll processing.
• Prepare and validate overtime sheets in coordination with site engineers.
• Ensure proper approval of timesheets and OT requests as per policy.
• Submit daily, weekly, and monthly manpower reports to site management.
• Maintain and update attendance records manually and/or using timekeeping systems.
• Report absenteeism, late arrivals, and early departures regularly to concerned supervisors.
• Liaise with supervisors and subcontractors to track labor deployment and shift rotations.
• Ensure all new labor arrivals are registered and properly documented.
• Assist in preparing reports for internal audits and compliance checks.

FRAMEWORKS, BOUNDARIES & DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY:
• Operates within company policies on attendance, labor management, and timekeeping.
• Responsible for accurate data entry and submission of reports.
• Escalates any discrepancies or irregularities to the Site Engineer or HR.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum Qualification: High School / Diploma
• 2–5 years of experience in timekeeping at construction or industrial project sites
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
• Strong numerical and data entry skills
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Basic proficiency in MS Excel or digital timekeeping systems
• Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping ability
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
