Telecommunications Specialist **Company:** Antena **Location:** Muscat, Muscat Governorate, Oman **Area:** Al Khuwair **Salary:** OMR 1,400 per month **Job Type:** Full\-time Job Overview Antena is seeking a technically skilled **Telecommunications Specialist** to support the design, installation, operation, maintenance, and optimization of telecommunications systems and network infrastructure. The successful candidate will work with technical teams, vendors, and customers to ensure reliable voice, data, wireless, and communication services while troubleshooting issues and maintaining high service standards. Key Responsibilities * Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot telecommunications equipment and systems. * Support voice, data, wireless, fiber\-optic, and other communication infrastructure. * Monitor telecommunications networks and investigate connectivity, performance, and service issues. * Perform routine inspections, testing, preventive maintenance, and system upgrades. * Configure and maintain network equipment, communication devices, routers, switches, and related infrastructure. * Analyze network performance and recommend improvements to reliability, capacity, and efficiency. * Respond to service incidents and technical faults and ensure timely resolution. * Coordinate with telecommunications providers, equipment vendors, contractors, and internal IT teams. * Assist with the planning and implementation of telecommunications projects and network expansions. * Maintain accurate technical documentation, network diagrams, equipment inventories, and maintenance records. * Conduct testing and commissioning of new telecommunications equipment and systems. * Support cybersecurity and access\-control measures for telecommunications infrastructure. * Prepare technical reports, incident records, maintenance reports, and performance updates. * Ensure telecommunications systems comply with company policies, technical standards, and applicable regulations. * Stay current with emerging telecommunications technologies, industry standards, and network solutions. Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field. * Proven experience in telecommunications, network operations, infrastructure, or technical support. * Strong understanding of IP networking, routing, switching, wireless communications, and telecommunications systems. * Experience with fiber\-optic networks and telecommunications equipment is highly desirable. * Knowledge of network monitoring and troubleshooting tools. * Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills. * Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. * Ability to work independently and respond to technical issues under time constraints. * Relevant telecommunications or networking certifications are an advantage. * Professional proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
