Job Description
At Quest Global, we believe in solving complex engineering challenges through innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence. We are looking for a Technical Writer to create and maintain product documentation, user manuals, and maintenance procedures for Oil & Gas tools.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical writing skills, a Mechanical Engineering background, and experience working with structured documentation and content management systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain product manuals, maintenance procedures, and technical documentation for Oil & Gas tools.
• Create structured content from existing documentation and content management systems.
• Collaborate with SMEs, engineers, and technicians to gather technical information.
• Develop clear, accurate, and user-focused documentation for field technicians and end users.
• Support Event-Based Maintenance (EBM) documentation and maintenance strategies.
• Review and update content to improve usability, consistency, and productivity.
• Work within an Agile development environment to deliver high-quality documentation.
Required Qualifications
• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in technical writing, technical publications, or documentation development.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and industrial equipment.
• Experience creating user guides, product manuals, service manuals, and maintenance procedures.
• Excellent written English and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
• Oil & Gas domain experience.
• Experience with structured authoring and XML-based documentation.
• Hands-on experience with:
• MadCap Flare
• Arbortext
• Adobe InDesign
• Adobe Illustrator
• Documentum or similar CMS tools
• Knowledge of Content Management Systems and content modeling.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks.
• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in technical writing, technical publications, or documentation development.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and industrial equipment.
• Experience creating user guides, product manuals, service manuals, and maintenance procedures.
• Excellent written English and communication skills.
