Job Description About the Role BEC Arabia is seeking a highly skilled Tax Compliance Specialist to join our Finance Department in Riyadh. As a key member of the team, you will ensure full compliance with Saudi tax regulations, including VAT, Zakat, and corporate income tax, while supporting the financial operations of one of the Kingdom s premier construction and engineering firms. This role is integral to maintaining BEC Arabia s reputation for excellence in financial governance and regulatory adherence. In this position, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and government authorities to manage tax filings, audits, and reporting. You will also play a critical role in identifying tax-saving opportunities and ensuring that all tax-related processes align with Saudi regulations and international best practices. Key Responsibilities • Ensure compliance with Saudi tax regulations, including VAT, Zakat, and corporate income tax, by preparing and submitting accurate and timely filings. • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations in Saudi Arabia and assess their impact on the company s operations. • Develop and implement tax policies and procedures to streamline compliance processes and minimize risks. • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities during audits and inquiries. • Prepare detailed tax reports and analyses for internal stakeholders and senior management. • Identify tax-saving opportunities and recommend strategies to optimize the company s tax position. • Assist in the preparation of financial statements to ensure accurate tax-related disclosures. • Train and guide internal teams on tax compliance requirements and best practices. • Support the Finance Department in budgeting and forecasting by providing tax-related insights. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure tax considerations are integrated into project planning and execution. Working Conditions • This role is office-based in Riyadh, with occasional travel to project sites or government offices as required. • Standard working hours with potential for extended hours during tax filing periods. • Collaborative, fast-paced environment with a focus on high-profile projects. • Comfortable office setting with modern amenities. • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance, preferably within the construction or engineering industry. • In-depth knowledge of Saudi tax regulations , including VAT, Zakat, and corporate income tax. • Proficiency in tax software and financial systems such as SAP or Oracle. • Strong understanding of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards). • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Fluency in English ; proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable. • Familiarity with GOSI and other Saudi regulatory requirements. • Master s degree in Taxation, Accounting, or Finance. • Professional certifications such as CPA , CTA , or SOCPA . • Experience working on tax compliance for mega-projects or multinational organizations. • Knowledge of transfer pricing and international tax treaties. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
