Tax Accountant

• Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. • Analyze and interpret tax laws and regulations to provide strategic advice and identification of tax-saving opportunities for clients. • Conduct tax research and prepare written technical memoranda to support tax positions taken on returns. • Perform tax audits and assist clients with resolving disputes with tax authorities, utilizing strong negotiation skills. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a strong academic background in taxation. • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent tax certification, validating expertise in tax regulations. • At least 3 years of relevant experience in tax accounting, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department. • Experience in dealing with complex tax issues, including international taxation and multi-state taxation scenarios.
