Systems Analyst

• Conduct thorough requirements analysis by engaging stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into technical specifications. • Design and implement system solutions that optimize business processes and improve operational efficiency tailored to organizational goals. • Create detailed documentation, including system design specifications and user manuals, to facilitate knowledge transfer and user training. • Collaborate with developers and IT teams to ensure smooth integration of new systems and functionalities into existing infrastructure. • 6–10+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst in Banking Key Responsibilities Requirements and Analysis • Elicit, analyse and validate business and system requirements through workshops, interviews and process walkthroughs. • Document as-is and to-be business processes, including exception, reconciliation and operational scenarios. • Map requirements to BIAN service domains, API operations and business events. Specification and Design Support • Produce functional and technical specifications, interface specifications, data mappings, and sequence and process flows. • Analyse impacts across core banking, channels, payments, cards, CRM, AML and reporting systems. • Support architects and engineers in solution design and fit-gap analysis. • Define API and message payloads in collaboration with integration and data teams. Delivery and Quality • Maintain requirements traceability from business need through design, build and test. • Support SIT and UAT, clarify requirements and triage defects. • Manage requirement changes through agreed change control. • Document legacy functionality to support decommissioning and data migration. Qualifications and Experience • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or a related field. • 6–10+ years of experience as a Systems or Business Systems Analyst in banking. • Experience in a core banking or digital banking transformation. • Understanding of retail and corporate banking products and operations. Technical Skills • Core banking systems, with FLEXCUBE preferred. • REST, OpenAPI, JSON, XML and ISO 20022 message formats. • SQL for data analysis and validation. • UML and BPMN modelling. • JIRA, Confluence and requirements management tools. • Understanding of BIAN concepts and API-led integration. Preferred Certifications • IIBA CBAP or CCBA. • Certified Scrum Product Owner or equivalent agile certification. • BIAN Foundation certification.
