Structural BIM Engineer

• BIM Modeling & System Development: Create, manage, and maintain accurate 3D structural BIM models (concrete, steel, and post-tensioned structures) from initial concept to detailed construction stages using Autodesk Revit Structure. • Interdisciplinary Coordination & Clash Detection: Coordinate structural models with Architectural and MEP disciplines to identify, analyze, and resolve design conflicts using Navisworks Manage and cloud CDE platforms (ACC / BIM 360). • Drawing Production & Documentation: Extract high-quality structural general arrangement (GA) drawings, detailed section cuts, fabrication/shop drawings, and schedule reports directly from the BIM environment in compliance with project standards. • Standardization & BEP Compliance: Implement project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEP), maintaining proper modeling protocols, naming conventions, level-of-development (LOD 200–400), and family creation standards. • Quality Assurance & Audits: Perform regular QA/QC model checks to ensure accuracy, proper structural parameter inputs, correct levels/grids, and metadata integrity before releasing documentation to internal teams or external clients. • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an accredited university. • Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in structural BIM modeling and coordination, preferably within the Middle East/GCC region on residential, commercial, or high-rise projects. • Core Technical Skills: • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit Structure and Navisworks Manage . • Solid command of AutoCAD and cloud platforms like Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM 360 . • Working knowledge of Dynamo for Revit visual scripting or parametric automation is an added advantage. • Familiarity with international and regional BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650). • Key Competencies: • Strong foundational understanding of structural design principles, concrete framing, structural steel connection details, and rebar modeling. • High attention to detail with the ability to detect geometry discrepancies early in the design cycle. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-discipline collaboration and team coordination.
