Steel Structure Design Engineer

We are hiring a Structural Steel Design Engineer to join our design team in the UAE. You will design, analyze and detail steel structures for industrial, commercial and warehouse projects. We welcome Structural, Civil and Mechanical Engineers with steel fabrication and design experience. Key Responsibilities • Design structural steel buildings, portal frames, trusses, mezzanines, platforms and supports. • Prepare load calculations and structural analysis using STAAD Pro, ETABS or similar software. • Design bolted and welded connections and base plates. • Prepare and review GA drawings, shop drawings and fabrication drawings. • Coordinate with the fabrication, estimation, procurement and site teams. • Review client requirements, drawings and specifications. • Make sure designs follow international codes such as AISC, Eurocode 3, BS 5950 and AWS D1.1. • Resolve technical queries from the workshop and site. • Support material take-offs (BOQ) and revisions to designs. • Bachelor's degree in Structural, Civil or Mechanical Engineering. • 3+ years of experience in steel structure design (UAE or GCC experience preferred). • Strong knowledge of steel design codes and connection design. • Skilled in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, ETABS, Tekla Structures (any combination). • Good understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes. • Ability to read and prepare engineering drawings accurately. • Good communication and teamwork skills.
