Sr. Mechanical Technical Engineer

• Review and coordinate mechanical engineering drawings, technical specifications, and design documents for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and other mechanical building services. • Prepare, review, and approve technical submittals, material submittals, method statements, shop drawings, and material take-offs. • Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable Qatar regulations, international standards, and client requirements. • Coordinate with consultants, clients, contractors, suppliers, and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues. • Provide technical guidance and support to site engineers, draftsmen, supervisors, and project teams. • Review and coordinate HVAC ducting, chilled water piping, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting system installations. • Monitor project progress and ensure mechanical works are executed according to approved drawings, quality standards, and project schedules. • Attend technical meetings, site inspections, and coordination meetings with clients and consultants. • Identify design discrepancies, site-related technical challenges, and potential clashes, and recommend appropriate solutions. • Ensure proper implementation of QA/QC procedures, inspection and testing requirements, and commissioning activities. • Review testing and commissioning reports, as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and handover documentation. • Assist in procurement by reviewing technical specifications, evaluating materials, and coordinating with suppliers. • Support project management in resolving technical matters, controlling variations, and minimizing delays and rework. • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 12–15 years of relevant experience in MEP contracting and mechanical building services. • Strong technical expertise in HVAC, plumbing and drainage, firefighting systems, and mechanical installations. • Qatar or GCC project experience is highly preferred. • only for Qatar based candidates.
