Overview A premium private hospital in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Specialist Physician in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to provide inpatient and ward-based care for women requiring obstetric and gynaecological assessment, treatment, and follow-up. The physician will work collaboratively with consultants, midwives, nursing teams, and other specialists to support safe and effective care throughout the patient's hospital stay.
Clinical Responsibilities • Assess and manage obstetric and gynaecological patients admitted to the ward.
• Monitor maternal health and pregnancy-related conditions within the scope of clinical privileges.
• Provide appropriate inpatient care before and after obstetric and gynaecological procedures.
• Recognize clinical deterioration and escalate urgent or complex cases promptly.
• Coordinate diagnostic investigations, treatment plans, and specialist consultations.
• Monitor recovery, manage appropriate follow-up, and support discharge planning.
• Explain diagnoses, treatment options, and care plans to patients.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with patient-safety and infection-control standards.
• Participate in ward rounds, clinical handovers, audits, and quality-improvement initiatives.
