Specialist - Endocrinology

• Perform the professional duties of an endocrinologist in accordance with the delineation of privileges as recommended and approved by the Credentials Committee. • Evaluate patients with hormonal diseases in the Endocrinology Clinic. • Provide after working hours on-call emergency coverage for endocrinology emergencies. • Perform endocrinal procedures – dynamic hormonal tests in appropriate patients. • Provide consultation/referral services to the in-patient services in area of expertise. • Manage patient care throughout the entire process from consultation to treatment plan. • Provide supervision and education to staff nurses, patients and technicians. • Participate and contribute to quality assurance activities (monthly mortality and morbidity conference, peer review, audit and chart review). • Current license in country of origin with Specialist Endocrinologist • DOH license to practice in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. • Minimum 3 years’ experience practicing in Endocrinology (Hormonal Diseases). • Thorough knowledge of medical ethics and patient confidentiality. • Personality that inspires confidence and trust in patients. • Adherence to Bylaws, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Organization. • Excellent command of oral and written English. • Knowledge of Arabic is desirable but not essential. • Good communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with co-workers, superiors, patients & families. • Completion of required training pathway: 1 year Rotating Internship, 3 years Internal Medicine residency, 3 years Endocrinology residency.
