Job description
Plan and coordinate daily site activities in accordance with project schedules. Read and interpret mechanical drawings and ensure works are executed as per approved drawings and specifications. Supervise mechanical construction crews, technicians, and subcontractors during installation activities. Oversee HVAC systems, ductwork, piping works, plumbing systems, fire fighting systems, drainage systems, chilled water systems, and other mechanical installations. Ensure all mechanical works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project quality standards. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, productivity, and quality. Coordinate daily manpower allocation, resources, and work priorities to ensure timely project execution. Enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements and ensure safe working practices on site. Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings for workers and subcontractors. Monitor daily progress, manpower attendance, material usage, and site activities, and report to the Site Engineer. Identify and resolve site issues, delays, and quality concerns in coordination with the Site Engineer. Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of tools, equipment, and construction materials. Verify the quantity and quality of delivered materials and equipment. Support equipment installation verification, alignment checks, pressure testing, and commissioning activities. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Support quality control activities, including pressure testing, leak testing, and system installation verification.
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.
• 5 10 years of experience in mechanical construction and site supervision.
• Experience in large-scale commercial, retail, healthcare, residential, or mixed-use projects.
• Strong background in supervising HVAC systems, piping works, plumbing, fire fighting systems, chilled water systems, and mechanical equipment installation.
• HVAC Technician Certification or an equivalent trade certification.
• Good command of English.
• Arabic is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, HVAC layouts, piping schematics, and technical specifications.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical installation methods, construction materials, and quality standards.
• Familiarity with HSE regulations and site safety requirements.
• Basic understanding of the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and construction specifications.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical installation tools and equipment.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of accountability and professionalism.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
