Job Purpose
To manage layer farms both technically and administratively in accordance with the approved operational and expansion plans, ensuring the achievement of production targets, flock health, operational efficiency, and compliance with quality and biosecurity standards
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage and operate Pullet farms and supervise the technical and administrative performance of the project.
• Achieve standard production results for layer flocks in line with the company’s monthly and annual targets.
• Follow up on all flock stages, including preparation, receiving, rearing, transfer, and production, in accordance with breed standards.
• Provide a suitable environment for birds to support flock health and production quality.
• Ensure that the final product is stored in an appropriate environment to maintain its quality and safety.
• Monitor the availability of feed and vaccines and ensure adequate stock levels to avoid shortages or operational risks.
• Follow up on inventory levels and request the required quantities of operational supplies in a timely manner.
• Maintain project assets and ensure that they remain ready and suitable for use.
• Report any shortage, operational issue, or technical problem and take the necessary corrective actions.
• Ensure the readiness of emergency support systems, including generators, water supply, safety equipment, and firefighting systems.
• Implement approved work policies and procedures to ensure the safety of production and company assets.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standards and ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree as a minimum in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Production, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in managing layer farms, or poultry production operations.
• Good knowledge of flock management, rearing stages, production cycles, and production performance indicators.
• Knowledge of feeding programs, vaccination programs, and flock health monitoring.
• Ability to manage field teams and coordinate effectively with related departments.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to make appropriate operational decisions.
• Ability to prepare periodic technical and operational reports.
• Good command of English, both spoken and written.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and biosecurity standards.
