Job description
• Write, review, and refine end-to-end UX content for BANK’s mobile and internet banking applications in English and Arabic.
• Work side-by-side with UI/UX Designers to identify design and content challenges and improve labels, navigation, instructions, calls to action, forms, validation messages, notifications, confirmations, error messages, empty states, help content, and other interface copy.
• Translate complex banking products, processes, regulatory requirements, and technical information into clear, concise, customer-friendly language without changing the intended business or legal meaning.
• Ensure that English and Arabic content is equivalent in meaning, appropriate for each language, and designed for the relevant interface direction, layout, and customer context.
• Partner with UI/UX Designers throughout discovery, user-flow definition, wireframing, prototyping, design review, usability testing, and implementation to ensure that content and design work together effectively.
• Define, document, and maintain content patterns, naming conventions, terminology, voice and tone, grammar, capitalization, punctuation, numerals, dates, currencies, accessibility principles, and localization standards within the design system.
• Define and govern reusable content tokens for recurring interface elements, states, actions, system messages, product terms, and customer communications across channels.
• Create and maintain a centralized bilingual terminology and content library to support consistency, reuse, scalability, and efficient design and delivery.
• Review existing BANK PR, brand, communications, legal, compliance, and corporate-language guidelines; work with the PR department to understand applicable standards and approval requirements.
• Draft a new UX content guideline aligned with existing BANK PR and corporate guidelines, resolve any gaps or conflicts, and present recommendations and proposed standards to the Design Lead for review and approval.
• Facilitate content reviews and stakeholder sessions, clearly explaining the rationale behind recommendations and incorporating approved feedback.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Stakeholders, Legal, Compliance, Technology, Delivery, and localization partners to validate content and support timely approvals.
• Review implemented experiences to ensure alignment with approved UX copy, content tokens, design-system standards, brand rules, and bilingual requirements.
• Use research insights, usability testing, analytics, customer feedback, and content audits to identify problems and continuously improve comprehension, task completion, consistency, and customer confidence.
• Proactively identify content risks, inconsistencies, gaps, and dependencies and raise them early to prevent delivery blockers.
• Professional UX writing, content design, product content, or digital copywriting experience supported by a strong portfolio demonstrating relevant work across complex digital journeys.
• Advanced or native-level written and spoken proficiency in both English and Arabic, with exceptional grammar, editing, and proofreading skills in each language.
• Experience writing UX content for mobile applications, web platforms, and responsive digital experiences.
• Experience working closely with UI/UX Designers in Figma and contributing throughout the product design and delivery lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design, interaction design, information architecture, accessibility, localization, and usability principles.
• Hands-on experience contributing content standards to an established design system, including reusable content patterns, component guidance, terminology, and content tokens.
• Experience creating UX writing or content-design guidelines, governance models, editorial standards, voice-and-tone frameworks, and bilingual terminology libraries.
• Ability to simplify complex product, technical, policy, legal, and regulatory information into concise and actionable interface content.
• Experience conducting content audits, mapping content across user journeys, and applying research or usability findings to improve content.
• Strong stakeholder-management, facilitation, and presentation skills, including the ability to explain content decisions and present guidelines for senior review.
• Experience collaborating with PR, Brand, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Product, Technology, and Delivery teams.
• Experience in banking, financial services, or similarly complex and regulated digital environments is strongly preferred.
• Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable taking ownership of UX content quality and governance.
• Customer-focused, culturally aware, and attentive to nuance across English and Arabic.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements and ambiguity.
• Curious and confident in asking questions, challenging assumptions constructively, and advocating for clarity and consistency.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, detail-oriented, and delivery-focused mindset.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ideally local and bilingual.
