Job description

• Manage all quantity surveying and commercial activities on water infrastructure and utility projects. • Prepare cost estimates, quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), tender documentation, and contract documents. • Administer contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project requirements. • Review, evaluate, and negotiate variations, claims, extension of time submissions, and additional cost claims. • Prepare, submit, and negotiate interim payment applications and final accounts. • Monitor project budgets, cash flow, forecasts, and commercial performance. • Provide commercial and contractual support to Project Managers, Resident Engineers, and project teams. • Manage subcontractor procurement, contract administration, and final account settlements. • Identify commercial risks and opportunities and recommend mitigation measures. • Maintain accurate records of contractual correspondence, commercial documentation, and project financial data. • Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and authorities on commercial and contractual matters. • Participate in project meetings, progress reviews, and commercial negotiations. • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and health and safety requirements. • Prepare monthly commercial reports and management updates. • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline. • Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying and commercial management. • Proven experience in Sewage Water Treatment Plants (SWTP), wastewater treatment facilities, sewerage networks, drainage, stormwater, pumping stations, and water infrastructure projects. • Strong Middle East experience, preferably within the UAE. • Dubai Municipality project experience is highly desirable. • Sound knowledge of FIDIC contracts and contract administration practices. • Experience in claims management, variation assessment, cost control, and final account negotiations. • Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities. • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and commercial management software.
