Job Description:
Senior Q uantity Surveyor Dubai, UAE
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Q uantity Surveyor to join our team! In this role you will get to perform a variety of standard estimating activities, re-measurement of work completed by the contractors (individual or as part of a team) on an assigned project/program.
What You'll Be Doing:
• Managing contractual and commercial correspondence
• Handling of cost reports, variations, claims.
• Maintain payment logs, variation logs and claims logs, etc.
• Coordinating with clients.
• Coordinating with entire supervision team to handle any contractual/claims letters.
• Supports for all commercial and contractual issues.
• Guide the QS's on the measurement principles.
• Review BOQ Recapitulation prepared by Quantity Surveyor.
• Review Monthly Financial Affairs Report.
• Review Interim and Final measurements.
• Review the Contractor s and Consultant s interim and final pay certificates.
• Process contractor payment certificates.
• Prepare/review the tender documents/tender reports etc.
• Prepare and/or review variation and new rate submissions.
• Prepare and/review variation/change orders for approval.
• Support for all cost planning and cost control functions.
• Review preparation of Change Orders and Variation Orders.
• Assist in evaluating claims.
• Support for all cost planning, cost control functions, other contractual and commercial duties.
• Draft and review contractual letters.
• Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering/ Construction Management/ Quantity Surveying. (or other related field).
• Professional Membership of MRICS is required.
• 15+ years of work experience in prime contract administration of major roads and large infrastructure projects is required.
• Incumbent must also possess strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
• Conversant with CESMM, FIDIC and other relevant standards.
• Working knowledge of PC software packages typically associated with contract administration.
• Ability to perform in a management capacity is also required.
• Related work experience in Dubai.
• UAE Client Approvals will be preferred.
• Prior Experience working in a consultancy will be preferred.
