Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing high-performance database solutions that power our large-scale, high-transaction airline systems. You will work closely with complex data schemas to ensure the integrity, efficiency, and reliability of our critical reservation, inventory, and passenger systems. The ideal candidate is a performance-tuning expert who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a deep understanding of database architecture within the travel/airline domain.
Key Responsibilities
• Database Development: Design, develop, test, and optimize robust Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers to support high-volume transactional airline operations.
• Performance Tuning: Write and tune complex SQL queries to ensure optimal performance against massive reservation, inventory, and passenger data schemas.
• Data Analysis & Resolution: Analyze and resolve complex data discrepancies related to bookings, fares, ticketing, and payment/FX reconciliation.
• Integrity & Compliance: Maintain stringent data integrity and support ongoing audit and compliance requirements specific to airline financial and passenger datasets.
• Technical Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to implement scalable database designs that align with system-wide architecture goals.
Nice-to-Have
• Specific familiarity with airline industry concepts, including PNR (Passenger Name Record), fare and ticketing data, and inventory management systems.
• Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.
• Database Expertise: Strong, demonstrable understanding of relational database design, indexing strategies, and advanced performance tuning techniques.
• Scalability: Proven experience working with large-scale, high-transaction production database environments.
