Senior Officer - Logistics

• Ensure and oversee all activities and the shipment of all major raw materials are efficiently and effectively coordinated and monitored to meet supply and production requirements for molten aluminium • Oversee planning and scheduling of receipt of strategic raw materials (alumina, coke, pitch, Alf3 and baked anodes) and advise operations on incoming ships • Stay updated on unloading, storage and delivery of raw materials to operations to enable uninterrupted production • Liaise with shipping lines, suppliers and port authority on vessel schedules regarding loading and arrival dates to avoid clashes and demurrage • Coordinate with Dock Operation Maintenance staff to ensure availability of plant/equipment to receive incoming raw materials deliveries • Prepare necessary purchase requisitions for supply and shipping lines as per annual requirements • Prepare complete planning process in SAP-TSW system and release call of purchase order for each shipment on time • Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls • Perform other related duties or assignments as directed • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, preferably in Supply Chain / Material Management or related specialization • Diploma/Certification in Procurement and Contracts preferred • 2-3 years relevant experience in logistics or shipping in a similar industry • Good knowledge of the aluminium smelting industry • Knowledge of market trends on vendors for freight management and delivered costs • Strong knowledge of logistics planning and control, inventory control and materials handling activities • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
