Senior Medical Equipment Design Engineer

Responsibilities Coordinate with healthcare planners and stakeholders to identify medical equipment requirements for healthcare facility projects. Provide technical expertise in medical equipment planning, design, and integration for healthcare facilities of various sizes. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, manufacturers, and regulatory authorities to ensure equipment complies with functional, safety, and regulatory requirements. Review project scopes, schedules, and technical documentation to support the successful planning and implementation of medical equipment solutions. Supervise medical equipment installation activities and coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP teams to ensure proper integration. Prepare and review medical equipment layouts, room equipment lists, room data sheets, technical specifications, and pre-installation requirements. Review medical equipment material submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including equipment specifications, testing protocols, and user guidance. Monitor project progress, support budget control, and contribute to continuous improvements in healthcare facility design and equipment planning. Perform other duties related to medical equipment planning and engineering as required. Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in medical equipment planning, design, or healthcare engineering. Strong knowledge of medical equipment planning, installation, and healthcare facility design. Solid understanding of healthcare regulations, medical device standards, and compliance requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with BIM methodologies and ISO 19650 standards is an advantage. Knowledge of Health & Safety standards, including ISO 45001. Excellent project coordination, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic.
