• Policies, Processes & Procedures
• Develops and oversees the implementation of departmental policies, systems, processes, procedures, and controls across the Safety Department.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable procedural and legislative requirements while delivering consistent, high-quality, and cost-effective services.
Day-to-Day Operations
• Leads the day-to-day operations of the Safety Department to ensure work processes are implemented effectively and comply with established policies, procedures, and standards.
Investigation & Reporting
• Leads investigations into significant safety incidents.
• Reviews and oversees the preparation of investigation reports, ensuring findings, recommendations, and corrective actions are appropriately documented and implemented.
Training & Safety Culture
• Supervises the identification, planning, organization, and delivery of safety training programs for employees at all organizational levels.
• Promotes safety awareness and supports initiatives to reduce the frequency and severity of safety incidents.
Maintenance, Testing & Inspection
• Supervises the maintenance and testing of safety protection systems throughout the plant to ensure operational readiness.
• Provides specialist technical safety advice and oversees workplace evaluations to identify non-conformities with regulatory requirements and international standards.
• Recommends corrective actions to ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and best practices.
• Maintains knowledge of local regulatory requirements and relevant international safety standards.
Safety, Quality & Environment
• Ensures compliance with all applicable safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
People Management
• Supervises the activities and performance of team members through coaching, guidance, and regular feedback.
• Ensures work is completed efficiently and in accordance with company policies, procedures, and individual performance objectives.
Related Assignments
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Professional accreditation or membership with a recognized engineering or safety association is preferred.
Minimum Experience
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in Environment, Health, Safety, Fire & Security (EHSFS) within a manufacturing industry.
• Minimum of 4 years in progressively increasing supervisory or managerial roles.
Skills
• Thorough knowledge of Safety Management Systems.
• Knowledge of safety auditing systems, including design and implementation.
• Strong understanding of international health and safety standards and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete tasks effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to develop and write policies, procedures, and technical documentation.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent time management and priority-setting abilities.
