Senior Appian Developer - Process & Workflow

About Role We're looking for a Senior Appian Developer Process & Workflow to design and build the complex process models, case management flows and business rules behind Appian applications for a leading bank in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a focus on performance, maintainability and auditability. This is an onsite role in Riyadh, open to all nationalities, requiring strong hands-on Appian experience within a banking or financial-services environment. Key Responsibilities • Build complex process models: subprocesses, parallel flows, escalations, timers, exception handling and multi-level approvals • Implement case management for banking operations (account opening, credit approvals, disputes, KYC refresh, complaints) • Model business rules and decisions using expression rules and decision tables • Design task routing, SLAs, delegation and maker-checker controls aligned with segregation-of-duties policies • Optimize process performance: memory usage, process archiving, node counts, activity chaining and smart-service choices • Implement audit trails and process history required by compliance and internal audit • Write rule test cases and support QA and UAT defect resolution • Review peers' process designs and mentor mid-level developers Requirements • 10+ years of total experience, including 6+ years of hands-on Appian development • Appian Certified Senior Developer (mandatory) • Notice period of 1 month, or immediate joiners preferred Must Haves • Expert in Appian process modeling, process variables, smart services and process reports • Strong expression rule, query and CDT/record type design skills • Experience with Appian Process HQ / process mining or workflow analytics • Solid SQL skills and understanding of transaction and concurrency handling • Understanding of BPMN and banking operational workflows • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills Nice to Have • Appian Certified Lead Developer • Appian RPA • Document generation and e-signature integrations • Experience migrating legacy workflows to Appian Why Join Us Build the core banking workflows of a leading bank in KSA, from account opening to credit approvals, and own complex case management solutions end to end.
